Two days ago the British Council of Payments set the date where it will stop clearing checks written in its territory.

October 31 of 2018 the practice of making payments with checks will end in the UK and Northern Ireland. The vision is that the practice of electronic payments will be so advanced that there won't be any need to write checks. The date is set as a form or encouraging other ways of making payments.
