While walking though Tiananmen Square in Beijing, I was honored to have a young family who spoke no English gently push their little boy in my direction and "ask" with sign language if I would pose with him for a photo. I was delighted! I really felt so honored and "celebrity-like"....just being an American can be an amazing experience sometimes.
These dear Chinese families are only allowed one child. What a big shame. Shame on you Chinese government for limiting the blessings of your people. No doubt, all families have great hopes for their single child and I had a special "feeling" after the photo (I also asked them to take one of us together with my photo)...that God had a special plan for this little boy.
Little boys grow up to be men and babies grow to be adults....let the children live and be born and be the blessing they are meant to be in our world!
