Sabah Al-Ahmad City .. First Kuwaiti city established by private sector

KUWAIT -- Sabah Al-Ahmad City, inaugurated on Thursday by His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, is the first Kuwaiti city that has been entirely constructed by the private sector.

According to information KUNA got from Pearls of Kuwait Real Estate CompanyKuwait Real Estate CompanyLoading..., which developed the city, the project comes as an effort to develop the economy and to stress the role of the private sector in supporting economic development.

The company said that all infrastructure services of phases A1 and A2 were complete, adding that infrastructure works of phase A3 were undergoing.

It said that it used modern ways in planning and constructing the city's infrastructure and facilities, noting that the city is a special project not only regionally but internationally also, as a whole city is being established on a wetland.
