Qatar TornadoQatar tornado, well, at least a real one didn't occur when I was in Qatar, but a building is called the "Tornado". Finally I made it to Qatar, if only for a short time.  Kari in Qatar In Iowa we have real tornadoes...the kind that hit our house and blew out the garage walls flat as pancakes. Uff da! That was a big mess, but thanks to friends everything got fixed up and reinforced just in case it every happened again.  Tornado in Qatar But, in Qatar, they have nicknamed this building the tornado. I guess it's easy to see why.  Tornado in Qatar Our new friend, Ali, who showed this fantastic part of town works there as an electrical engineer, at least during its construction.  Tornado in Qatar I have wanted to visit Qatar ever since Sarah and I met a couple in the London airport who worked in the palace in Qatar.
