Picking Poppies in Czech Republic

Sarah & Kari Picking Poppies in Czech Republic

Poppies grow wild like crazy on the Czech Republic waysides...who could not resist stopping to grab a few bunches of them for the supper table. Brilliant red and full of zip, these prolific flowers are a beauty to behold!

What also enchanted us were the other many wild flowers, especially the wild lupine (which I can never get to grow in my garden...but really want it there), with their towering multicolored blossoms spreading their fragrance free of charge, here, there and everywhere. Ditches and nooks and crannies were filled with them...such a delight.
