Only 10.5% of residents of Baku have deposit in bank

International Research Group Business Insight (BI) continues to publish unexpected results of a poll to research lifestyle of the population of Azerbaijani capital Baku that covered 660 respondents (women - 65% and men - 35%).

Bi reported that only 10.5% of respondents stated that they have deposit in bank and 89.5% stated that they don’t have. At that, 85.6% of respondents keep their savings in Azerbaijani manats, 11.2% in US dollars, 2.6% in euros, 0.5%v don’t have savings and only 0.2% keep actives in gold.

At that, only 22.4% of respondents stated that they took bank loan, at the same time 77.6% didn’t use the service. At that, 39% of respondents, which may be named borrowers, took consumer loan, 19% - automobile loan, 15% - business loan, 9% - loan to repair house and only 2% - a mortgage loan.
