Getting to Belgium

Summer 2003, we (my mom and I) went to Belgium.

I'm not sure when, but mom had a dream and some thing in the dream had written on it, "Visit Belgium in the summer time"

About a month before summer ended I orderd a new passport. And about one week before fall started, mom had the idea that she would go to Belgium that summer.

I, of course, wanted to go with her, and she said that if I got my passport back that day then we would go.

Mom's plan was that we would (IF I got my passport back) drive to New York and use some vouchers that she had. So what that meant was that we would leave the next morning for New York and make it to Belgium just it time for the last bit of summer.

It was a Tuesday evening and mom had to go in to town for a meeting. As mom drove out the drive way she saw that there was a packige hanging on our mail box, and as she drove down the road she rolled down the window and waved the package excitedly and shouted that my passport had come. I was going to Belgium!!

That night we packed and the next morning we drove through Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Pennsylvania, New Jersey and finally got to New York.

We spent the night in the parking lot of the JFK airport, and in the morning looked around N.Y. City, and that night we flew to Belgium. We got there the last day of summer.
