Emily had such a great attitude.....:)

I didn't know Emily as well as most of you, but I was in class with her for a couple of years at Muscatine Community College.
What I remember most about her was her amazingly cheerful attitude in the face of problems, since her mom's health was very bad at that time, and I admired Emily very much for her fortitude and her strong dream to serve others by becoming a nurse.
Even though she couldn't have been more than 17 or 18 at that time, she already knew her purpose in life.
Her focus and commitment gave her the ability to accomplish so much even in her short life, and to do it in such a gentle and loving way (I've read the other stories posted and her own comments).
She will remain an inspiration to me, and my prayer is that God would grant me even a portion of her graciousness and willingness to serve others.
