New Year’s Eve in Prague is a movable feast. Czechs circulate around the many bars, clubs and restaurants to celebrate and lubricate before lining the banks of the Vltava River for the fireworks over water display with the magnificent backdrop of Prague Castle and the medieval Charles Bridge.
There’s a more do-it-yourself approach around Wenceslas Square and the Old Town Square where large crowds gather to risk life and limb setting off their own bungers in a fireworks free-for-all.
