Childhood Friends

I grew up in Muscatine, across the street from Emily when I was young. I lived there through fourth grade, when my family moved to Iowa Falls.

I have many fond memories with Emily (and her brothers). We used to play in the woods in back of her house, exploring, making trails, picking mulberries, and playing in the creek. One of our favorite things to do in the winter was to go creek sliding on the frozen creek.

One of my favorite indoor memories was when we built a whole lego-man-sized theme park out of K'nex. I was spending the night at her house, and we must have stayed up very late to finish it!


Emily was always so fun, caring, and joyful. I am excited at the thought of seeing her again someday. She and her family have been such a blessing to me and my family.
