Bahrain poised for quantum leap

MANAMA: Bahrain is poised for a quantum leap in political, economic and social development, Prime Minister Shaikh Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa declared yesterday.

He urged the media to back the country's push forward by helping to build confidence and cement harmony amongst its people.

"We must work hard for change, to create a quantum leap to achieve our economic and social goals," the Premier said as he received local newspaper editors-in-chief to mark World Press Day.

Journalists have a huge responsibility, since their words have a direct impact on social development, he said.
