Azerbaijan People’s Republic anniversary celebrations in Los Angeles

Los Angeles. Zaur Hasanov – APA. Azerbaijan’s Consulate General in Los Angeles organized a large dinner party and concert program in Regency Club on the occasion of 91st anniversary of Azerbaijan People’s Republic. Nearly 250 guests joined the event in Los Angeles, APA US bureau reports. Representatives of the consular corps in Los Angeles and San Francisco, Sheriff of Los Angeles County Leroy D. Baka, Deputy Chief of Protocol for the Los Angeles County Lourdes Saab, representatives of the Azerbaijani communities in Los Angeles, San Jose and Orange County, as well as Azerbaijan Society of America, Turkish Jewish, Georgian and Iranian communities of Los Angeles and San Francisco attended the party. Consul General Elin Suleymanov welcomed the guests and spoke about the historical significance of Azerbaijan People’s Republic and its first contribution to the freedom, independence, statehood, tolerance and national conscience of Azerbaijani people.
