Washington

I went to Washington this past fall (10-2006)with my dad, to see Grammie and Papa.

There were only a few blue berries left, but enough to make dad and me wish we had come a month earlier. They also had red berries, like black berries, only red. They were SO good, and they had lots of them! And all over the place there are wild black berries too! It was amazing, but they were sour.

Grammie has this really neat tricyle that she always wears a helmit with. I asked her if I could ride it, she said I could but not to go fast till I got the hang of it. And I was glad she said that because it was suprisingly different from just a plain bike. I found that when I turned it turned really sharply and I was afriad to turn it back because I thought I would fall. You see it was hard to get it into my thick head that I had 3 wheels instad of two and that I could not fall.

I never really did get it, but once I got to the point that I could at least go in a straight line I went a little faster.

They live about one 1/3 of a mile from a nice lake. The water was a little cold the day Grammie and I went over to the lake and I didn't really feel like swimming in cold water so we didn't swim, but we did go in up to our knees.

We went to the ocean too! I have been there two times before, but this time it was much better! That water was so cold that when you put your foot in it numbed in like 20 secends.

I'm glad that our own pond here will soon be warm. =D
